On 1 August 2017, the Senate referred an inquiry into the waste and recycling industry in
Australia to the Environment and Communications References Committee. The committee is to report by 13 June 2018.
The committee requests an extension of time to report until 26 June 2018 to allow it to
consider the evidence received and to conclude its deliberations.
