Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Amendment (Reconsideration of Decisions) Bill 2024

On 10 October 2024, the Senate referred the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Amendment (Reconsideration of Decisions) Bill 2024 to the Environment and Communications Legislation Committee for inquiry and report by 14 November 2024.

The closing date for submissions is 18 October 2024.

About this inquiry:
The Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Amendment (Reconsiderations of Decisions) Bill 2024 seeks to set clear time limits and cut-off periods for previous environmental approval decisions to be reconsidered and limits who is permitted to request reconsideration of decisions of the Minister.
