Copyright Amendment (Online Infringement) Bill 2018

On 13 November 2018, the Senate referred the Copyright Amendment (Online Infringement) Bill 2018 to the Environment and Communications Legislation Committee for inquiry and report by 26 November 2018.

The closing date for acceptance of submissions is 12 noon on Tuesday, 20 November 2018.

About this inquiry

The Bill amends the scope of the online copyright infringement scheme to enable copyright owners to more effectively enforce their rights by disrupting the supply to Australians by online locations operated outside Australia of material that infringes copyright, or facilitates the infringement of copyright.
