Waste and recycling industry in Australia

An inquiry into the waste and recycling industry in Australia including issues related to landfill, markets for recycled waste and the role of the Australian Government in providing a coherent approach to the management of solid waste. This inquiry will report by ​29 November 2017.

The closing date for submissions is 20 October 2017.

On 14 November 2017 the Senate granted an extension of time to report until ​13 June 2018​.

On 12 June 2018 the Committee presented a progress report recommending that the Senate grant an extension of time to report until 26 June 2018.
