Motor Vehicle Standards (Cheaper Transport) Bill 2014: Interim report

On 20 August 2015, the Senate referred the Motor Vehicle Standards (Cheaper Transport) Bill 2014 for inquiry and report by 28 October 2015.

The committee requests an extension of time to report until 25 November 2015 to allow it to fully consider the evidence received and to conclude its deliberations.

About this inquiry

The bill proposes carbon emissions standards that certain manufacturers, importers or sellers of passenger vehicles and light commercial vehicles are required to meet as the average across their fleet.
