Dear Mr President
Pursuant to Senate standing order 38(7), I present to you an interim report of the Standing Committee on Environment and Communications in relation to the inquiry into the status, health and sustainability of Australia's koala population.
The committee has agreed to hold an additional public hearing during the winter recess and needs time to consider this evidence thoroughly. The committee intends to present the final report on Wednesday, 24 August 2011.
