Release of Conserving Australia, the report of the Senate Committee's inquiry into Australia 's national parks, conservation reserves and marine protected areas
The Senate Environment, Communications, Information Technology and the Arts Standing Committee has conducted an inquiry for over a year, into Australia 's national parks, other conservation reserves and marine protected areas (MPAs).
The inquiry was established on 7 December 2005, when it was referred to the then Senate Environment, Communications, Information Technology and the Arts References Committee, chaired by Senator Andrew Bartlett.
On 11 September 2006, the reference was transferred to the Senate Environment, Communications, Information Technology and the Arts Standing Committee, chaired by Senator Alan Eggleston.
The committee's report will be provided to the Senate and publicly released on Thursday 12 April 2007. The report will be available on the committee's webpage as soon as it is released. Go to https://www.aph.gov.au/Senate/committee/ecita_ctte/nationalparks/index.htm and follow the links provided.
