Inquiry into The Renewable Energy (Electricity) Amendment
Bill 2002
The Senate has referred the above matter to the Committee
for inquiry and report by 28 November 2002
The proposed amendments to the Renewable Energy (Electricity) Act 2000
include clarification of the definition of Eligible Renewable Energy Sources
and the provisions with respect to the claiming of renewable energy certificates
associated with solar hot water heaters.
The Committee invites written submissions from interested
individuals and organisations to be lodged by Friday 11 October 2002.
The Committee prefers submissions to be lodged in electronic form, sent
by email to ecita.sen@aph.gov.au. The email must
include full postal address and contact details. Alternatively, submissions
may be sent to the Secretary, Senate ECITA References Committee, Parliament
House, Canberra ACT 2600.

Submissions become Committee documents and are made public only after
