Australian Water Fund provided funds for three programs: Water Smart Australia,
Raising National Water Standards and the Community Water Grants Program. The
first two of these programs were administered by the NWC, with Water Smart
Australia transferred in 2008 to the then Department of Environment, Water,
Heritage and the Arts (now the Department of Sustainability, Environment,
Water, Population and Communities). Programs under the Australian Water Fund
have ceased or will cease in 2012.
