Inquiry into the Keeping Jobs from Going Offshore (Protection of Personal Information) Bill 2009
REPORT
On 13 May 2010 the Senate referred an inquiry into the Keeping Jobs from Going Offshore (Protection of Personal Information) Bill 2009 to the Environment, Communications and the Arts Legislation Committee for inquiry and report by 18 October 2010.
The committee received 8 submissions which are available on the committee's website.
The committee has been unable to complete the inquiry owing to the prorogation of the 42nd Parliament on 19 July 2010. Accordingly, the committee has resolved not to continue its inquiry into the Bill. If the Bill is reintroduced in the next parliament the Senate can again refer it to the committee for inquiry.
