Measures) Bill 2003
On 25 June 2003, the Senate referred the provisions of the Bill to the Senate

The Bill provides a framework for the regulations to prescribe requirements
relating to sponsorship providing for:

grant of a visa;
- a process for the approval of sponsors; and
- undertakings to be made by sponsors
It also allows the Minister to take certain action against sponsors if these
