Migration Amendment (Streamlining Visa Processing) Bill 2018 [Provisions]

On 6 December 2018 the Senate referred the Migration Amendment (Streamlining Visa Processing) Bill 2018 [Provisions] to the Legal and Constitutional Affairs Legislation Committee for inquiry and report by 25 February 2019.

The deadline for submissions to the inquiry is 25 January 2019.

An interim report was tabled on 29 March 2019.

About this inquiry

The bill would amend the Migration Act 1958 to enable the Minister to specify groups of visa applicants who are required to provide one or more personal identifiers to make a valid application.
