Whistleblower Protection Authority Bill 2025 (No.2)

On the 13th of February 2025, the Senate referred the Whistleblower Protection Authority Bill 2025 (No. 2) to the Legal and Constitutional Affairs Legislation Committee for inquiry and report by Friday, 29 August 2025.

The Bill would establish a new, independent statutory authority (Whistleblower Protection Authority) responsible for providing information, advice, assistance, guidance and support to whistleblowers and potential whistleblowers. The Authority would have jurisdiction over all federal whistleblower protection laws.

The closing date for submissions is Monday, 30 June 2025.
