On 3 March 2015, the Senate referred the Australian Border Force Bill 2015 and the Customs and Other Legislation Amendment (Australian Border Force) Bill 2015 to the Legal and Constitutional Affairs Legislation Committee for inquiry and report.

The closing date for submissions is 2 April 2015. The reporting date is 7 May 2015.
