Migration Amendment (Protecting Migrant Workers) Bill 2021 [Provisions]

On 25 November 2021, the Senate referred the Migration Amendment (Protecting Migrant Workers) Bill 2021 [Provisions] to the Legal and Constitutional Affairs Legislation Committee (the committee) for inquiry and report by 15 February 2022. On 1 December 2021, the committee’s reporting date was extended to 11 March 2022.

The committee is still conducting its inquiry and requests an extension of time to report until 18 March 2022, to allow it to conclude its deliberations.
