Dear Mr President,

Pursuant to Standing Order 38(7) I present to you a report of the Senate Legal and Constitutional Affairs Legislation Committee entitled International Aid (Promoting Gender Equality) Bill 2015 (the Bill).

On 26 March 2015, the committee was referred the Bill for inquiry and report by 17 June 2015.

The committee has resolved not to conduct an inquiry on the Bill and recommends that the Senate refer the Bill to the Foreign Affairs, Defence and Trade Legislation Committee.

Recommendation 1

The committee recommends that Senate refer the International Aid (Promoting Gender Equality) Bill 2015 to the Foreign Affairs, Defence and Trade Legislation Committee.
