RECOMMENDATIONS

Recommendation 1

2.1        The committee recommends that the Attorney-General's Department revise and reissue the Explanatory Memorandum to provide a comprehensive explanation of the reasons for the Bill, as stated in the Attorney-General's Department's evidence to this inquiry.

Recommendation 2

2.2        Subject to the preceding recommendation, the committee recommends that the Senate pass the Bill.
