Inquiry into the Corporations Amendment (Improving Accountability on Termination Payments) Bill 2009
Information about the Inquiry
On 25 June 2009 the Senate referred the Corporations Amendment (Improving Accountability on Termination Payments) Bill 2009 for inquiry and report.
The bill would require termination payments to company directors and senior executives exceeding one year's salary to be subject to shareholder approval.
Submissions should be received by 17 July 2009. The reporting date is 07 August 2009.
The Committee is seeking written submissions from interested individuals and organisations preferably in electronic form submitted online or sent by email to economics.sen@aph.gov.au as an attached Adobe PDF or MS Word format document. The email must include full postal address and contact details.
