Information about the Inquiry

On 24 June 2010 the Senate referred the Federal Financial Relations Amendment (National Health and Hospitals Network) Bill 2010 for inquiry and report.

The Federal Financial Relations Amendment (National Health and Hospitals Network) Bill 2010 amends the Federal Financial Relations Act to dedicate a third of GST revenues to health and hospital services. It also establishes arrangements for the funding of hospitals.
An inquiry into a related bill is being conducted by the Community Affairs Committee. If your submission relates to the establishment of the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care, please submit it to that committee; https://www.aph.gov.au/Senate/committee/clac_ctte/Nat_hlth_hospital_network/index.htm

Submissions should be received by 16 July 2010. The reporting date is 24 August 2010.

The Committee is seeking written submissions from interested individuals and organisations preferably in electronic form submitted online or sent by email to economics.sen@aph.gov.au as an attached Adobe PDF or MS Word format document. The email must include full postal address and contact details.
