Terms of Reference

The Counter-Terrorism Legislation Amendment (High Risk Terrorist Offenders) Bill 2020 was introduced into the House of Representatives by the Hon Christian Porter MP, Attorney-General of Australia on 3 September 2020.
On 3 September 2020, the Hon. Christian Porter MP, Attorney-General of Australia, wrote to the Committee to refer the provisions of the Bill to the Committee for inquiry and report.

The Parliamentary Joint Committee on Intelligence and Security has commenced a review into the Counter-Terrorism Legislation Amendment (High Risk Terrorist Offenders) Bill 2020. The bill review was referred to the Committee by the Hon. Christian Porter MP, Attorney-General.
