On 24 November 2014, the Senate referred the inquiry into the operation, regulation and funding of private vocational education and training (VET) providers in Australia to the Education and Employment References Committee for inquiry and report by 15 October 2015. The closing date for receiving submissions has been extended from 13 February 2015 until 31 March 2015. 

The committee will table interim reports to the Senate on 2 March 2015 and 15 June 2015.
