Inquiry into the citrus industry in Australia

INTERIM REPORT

Dear Mr President

A review of the citrus industry in Australia was referred to the Rural and Regional Affairs and Transport Reference Committee by the Senate on 28 February 2013, for inquiry and report by 31 July 2013.

The Committee has received 41 submissions, and has held a public hearing in Griffith and Mildura on 3 July and 4 July 2013, respectively.

The Committee wishes to extend this reporting date to 30 September 2013 to allow it to fully consider the evidence and to conclude its deliberations.
