The Defence Sub-Committee of the Joint Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs, Defence and Trade (JSCFADT) stands referred under its resolution of appointment to conduct inquiries into the Defence Annual Report.
On 17 March 2021 the JSCFADT resolved to have the Defence Sub-Committee inquire into and report on the Department of Defence Annual Report 2019-20. The following initial focus areas were identified, noting that all aspects of the Annual Report are available for the Sub-Committee to examine:

Space-based intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance;

Defence estate in the north and north-west; and
