Inquiry into the recognition of unpaid carers

The Committee adopted an inquiry into the recognition of unpaid carers on 13 June 2023, following a referral from the Minister for Social Services, the Hon Amanda Rishworth MP.

The Committee is seeking written submissions, ideally of no more than ten pages, from individuals and organisations relating to any or all of the inquiry terms of reference by Friday, 18 August 2023.

Please note that the Committee is not considering the adequacy of carers’ payments.

Confidential and name withheld submissions

While it is the preference of the Committee to publish the evidence it receives, if you have concerns about your privacy, you can ask the Committee to accept your submission anonymously or confidentially.

Anonymous submissions are published on the Committee’s website as ‘name withheld’ with personal information redacted.

Confidential submissions are only read by members of the Committee and the secretariat. Confidential submissions will not appear on the website or be quoted in the report.
