Inquiry into family violence orders

The Standing Committee on Social Policy and Legal Affairs adopted an inquiry into family violence orders on 4 June 2024, following a referral from the Attorney-General, the Hon Mark Dreyfus KC MP.

The Committee tabled its report on Thursday, 13 February 2025.

About this inquiry

The Committee will inquire into and report on how to provide better access for victim-survivors in the family law system to Family Violence Orders (FVO) and the effective enforcement of those orders.
