The Senate, on the recommendation of the
Selection of Bills Committee, has referred the provisions of the above
Bill to the Committee for inquiry and report by 9 May 2006. The Committee
was asked particularly to examine the potential to improve the operation
of the Advanced Payment Option.

information. The Bill, Explanatory Memorandum, Parliamentary Library Bills Digest and other
information relating to the inquiry may be accessed on the Committee's

The Committee invites written submissions relating to the Bill
addressing the above issue or other issues which are of relevance to your
organisation. Submissions relating to the Bill should be lodged by
Thursday, 13 April 2006. The Committee prefers to receive submissions

The Committee intends
to hold a hearing on the Bill in late April.
