APPENDIX 3 - TRAINING PLACES AVAILABLE IN EACH SPECIALITY AREA AND
GENERAL PRACTICE TRAINING IN 1997 AND 1998
The number of training places in GP training in 1997 and 1998 is 400
in each year.
Based on verbal advice from the specialist medical colleges, the Department's
estimate for the number of first year specialist training positions in
1997 is as follows (please note that some specialities are included in
the numbers for the whole college, eg Physicians include the list of sub-
specialities which appears below, others are enumerated where possible):
