Inquiry into the importance of Antarctica to Australia's national interests

On 22 February 2024, the Committee received a referral from the Minister for the Environment and Water for an inquiry into the importance of Antarctica to Australia’s National Interests. On 27 February 2024, the Committee resolved to adopt the inquiry.

The Committee invites interested persons and organisations to make a submission to the inquiry addressing the terms of reference by Friday 12 April 2024. Information that may assist in preparing a submission to the Committee can be accessed here.
