2.2        The committee has decided to examine this instrument as part of its examinations of the Stronger Futures package of legislation.

Purpose of the bill

2.3        This determination provides that the Northern Territory is a 'recognised State or Territory' for the purposes of Part 3B of the Social Security (Administration) Act 1999.  Part 3B of the Act establishes the income management regime.
