About this inquiry

The bill is intended to improve native title claims resolution, agreement‑making, Indigenous decision‑making and dispute resolution processes. It is also intended to confirm the validity of certain agreements made under the Native Title Act 1933 following the Federal Court decision in McGlade v Native Title Registrar & Ors.
