Flags Amendment Bill 2014

1.105      This bill proposes to amend the National Flag Act 1953 to require that Australian flags flown, used or supplied by the Commonwealth are only manufactured in Australia from Australian materials.[1]

1.106      The bill is accompanied by a statement of compatibility which states that it does not engage any human rights.[2]

1.107      The committee considers that the bill does not appear to give rise to human rights concerns.
