COVID-Safe Event Requirements
In accordance with public health advice, the Committee asks that anyone wishing to attend the public hearing read the following information.
If you wish to attend the public hearing, all visitors are asked to register their intention to attend by emailing the Committee before the hearing date. This information will be used to monitor and adhere to venue occupancy limits and ensure that physical distancing can be maintained.
Please do not attend the public hearing if you are feeling unwell. If you are present with visible symptoms or fail to comply with requirements, you will be refused entry to the venue and will not be able to participate in the public hearing.
Before being admitted to the public hearing, all witnesses and visitors may be asked the following screening questions:
Have you:
-
been unwell recently, or had any COVID-like symptoms such as coughing and sneezing?
- been in contact with a confirmed or suspected COVID-19 case?
- recently travelled overseas or to any affected areas?
The screening process will follow the most current public health authority advice and state and territory government requirements and may change without notice. The wearing of masks may be required by the venue.
Keep yourself and others safe and up to date by following the state and territory (ACT, NSW, NT, QLD, SA, TAS, VIC, WA) health advice where necessary.
Checking in
Under state and territory government public health directions, anyone attending a public hearing has a responsibility to ensure they check-in using the relevant check-in app. You should download the check-in app before arriving at the venue for ease of entry. Witnesses and visitors without a mobile phone will need to check-in in writing at the venue on the day of the hearing.
In line with COVID-safe event guidelines, collection of contact information including name, phone number and email address is required upon entry for all witnesses and visitors.
All personal information collected will be used solely for the purpose for which it was collected, and will be stored, handled and disposed of in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles.
