Business of the Senate is a statistical report containing information about activities of the Senate during the calendar year. The first edition of this publication was tabled in the Senate in 1982 and covered the period 1 July 1981 to 31 December 1981.
This document is presented to the Senate for the information of Honourable Senators and others persons interested in the activities of the Senate and its Committees. ... The document contains information on legislation, Ministerial Statements, Petitions etc., as well as a summary of all primary motions moved in the Senate. ... It is proposed to produce future editions annually and thereby provide a complete description of each year's activities. (Preface to the first edition)
Production of this publication ceased at the end of the 44th Parliament when StatsNet was launched.
