1.1Labor Senators support the recent appointments of key board and executive personnel at Perth Mint by the State Labor Government with a view to improving governance and compliance.This includes the recent appointment of Mr Dean Nalder to the Board.Mr Nalder was a former senior minister in the Barnett Government.

1.2Labor Senators note the key role of Mr John O'Connor on the Board as Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee.Mr O'Connor has been a member of the Board since 2016.

1.3Labor Senators are confident that the Enforceable Undertaking entered into with AUSTRAC by the Perth Mint is appropriate and will provide the necessary guidance to address any remaining governance and compliance issues.
