Submissions received regarding
the Henry Tax Review and the government's response
As you will be aware on 2 May 2010 the Australian
Government released Australia’s future tax system: Report to the
Treasurer (referred to as the 'Henry Tax Review') and a Tax Policy
Statement in response to the Henry Tax Review titled
Stronger, Fairer, Simpler: A tax
plan for our future.
The committee is seeking the views of industry and
stakeholders on the impact of the recommendations of the Henry Tax
Review and the government’s response on fuel and energy security.
The committee is particularly interested in any potential impact
of the 'Resource Super Profits
Tax' on both fuel and energy security and on jobs, especially in
regional communities, and poses the following specific questions:

your assessment of the impact of the proposed ‘Resource Super Profits
Tax’ on your field?

Specifically, what is your assessment of the impact of the ‘Resource
Super Profits Tax’ on fuel and energy security in your field?

Specifically, what is your assessment of the impact of the ‘Resource
Super Profits Tax’ on jobs in your field?

How do
you foresee the proposed resource exploration rebate impacting on your
field?
- Do you have any other issues you wish to raise with the committee about
the recommendations set out in the Henry Tax Review and/or the
government's response to those recommendations?
