Labor Senators' Additional Comments

1.1        Labor senators see value in an amendment to ensure mobility rights for ComSuper staff, who have been affected by a government decision to merge ComSuper and CSC, to ensure they can move back into the APS without having to resign and be re-engaged. These staff should not be disadvantaged particularly with the current restrictions on non-APS employees applying for most APS jobs. These restrictions may be under review by the government but currently there is no timeframe for them to be lifted. Labor Senators will engage with the government on this issue.
