7.1Throughout this inquiry, the committee has heard a wide range of evidence regarding the proposed Middle Arm Industrial Precinct. It is clear that there are significant concerns relating to the potential climate, human health, environmental, and cultural impacts of the proposed development. There are also concerns regarding the project’s transparency, funding, and regulatory frameworks. The committee notes that the project is in its planning stage and various proponents and elements changed over the duration of the inquiry, and further changes may occur in future.

7.2The committee has not been able to reach agreement on a unanimous set of recommendations to guide the way forward. As such, the views and proposed recommendations of committee members are presented separately and attached to this report.
