Dear Mr President

On 28 November 2019, the Senate referred the provisions of the Australian Sports Anti-Doping Authority Amendment (Enhancing Australia’s Anti-Doping Capability) Bill 2019 to the Senate Community Affairs Legislation Committee (Committee) for inquiry and report. Submissions were sought by 17 January 2020 and the committee was due to report on 3 February 2020.

The Committee has received 5 submissions.

The Committee has agreed to seek an extension to the reporting date to 24 February 2020 to enable it to hold a public hearing and conclude its deliberations.
