1.1        The Climate Change Authority (Abolition) Bill 2013 [No. 2] seeks to repeal the Climate Change Authority Act 2011 and makes transitional and other arrangements for the abolition of the Climate Change Authority and the Land Sector Carbon and Biodiversity Board.

1.2        The committee considered an identical bill in its First Report of the 44th Parliament.[1]

1.3                  The committee considers that the bill does not appear to give rise to human rights concerns.
