Inquiry into the legislative arrangements to outlaw serious and organised crime groups
Information about the Inquiry
On 17 March 2008, the Parliamentary Joint Committee on the Australian Crime Commission initiated an inquiry into the legislative arrangements to outlaw serious and organised crime groups pursuant to Section 55(1)(b) of the Australian Crime Commission Act 2002. Terms of Reference for the inquiry are below.
The Committee invites submissions to the inquiry, addressing some or all of the terms of reference. The deadline for receipt of submissions is 2 May 2008, however extensions of time may be negotiated with the Secretariat prior to the deadline.
The Committee prefers submissions to be sent electronically, and postal and email addresses are specified below. Submitters are requested to ensure that all personal details, including names and addresses are contained within a document separate from the submission (such as a covering letter).
All submissions become Committee documents upon receipt and may be published, including on the internet. Persons lodging submissions, however, must not make them public without the prior written approval of the Committee.
