Australia's Advocacy for the Abolition of the Death Penalty

Chair of the Human Rights Sub-Committee, the Hon Philip Ruddock MP, discusses the focus of the Inquiry into Australia's Advocacy for the Abolition of the Death Penalty.


On 21 July 2015 the Minister for Foreign Affairs, the Hon Julie Bishop MP, asked the Committee to inquire into and report on Australia's Advocacy for the Abolition of the Death Penalty.

The Committee tabled its report, A world without the death penalty, on Thursday, 5 May 2016.
