Inquiry into the 2009 and 2013 amendments to the 1996 Protocol to the Convention on the Prevention of Marine Pollution by Dumping of Wastes and Other Matter, 1972 (London Protocol)

On Wednesday, 30 November 2022 the Minister for the Environment and Water, Hon Tanya Plibersek MP asked the Committee to inquire into and report on the 2009 and 2013 amendments to the 1996 Protocol to the Convention on the Prevention of Marine Pollution by Dumping of Wastes and Other Matter, 1972 (London Protocol). The terms of reference can be found on the terms of reference webpage.

Anyone can make a submission to the inquiry which addresses some or all of the terms of reference, by using the online system or by email. Submissions do not have a set format but should be prepared solely for the inquiry and should not be published prior to being accepted by the Committee. Submissions are requested by Friday, 10 March 2023.
