Delegation to the United Kingdom, France and the United States

In July 2015, members of the Parliamentary Joint Committee on Intelligence and Security travelled to the United Kingdom, France and the United States to engage in high level international discussions on counter-terrorism measures.

In approving the delegation, the Presiding Officers advised: 'we have decided to approve an additional delegation of up to three members of the committee (the Chair, Deputy Chair and a government Senator or Member to be determined by the committee) to travel to the United States, the United Kingdom and France for a period of not more than 14 days in 2015'.

The delegation comprised Mr Dan Tehan MP (Chair), the Hon Philip Ruddock MP and Senator David Fawcett. As the Deputy Chair had to withdraw, the Committee approved the attendance of Senator Fawcett in his place.
