Terms of Reference

For this review, the Defence Sub-Committee has resolved to investigate a range of matters raised in the Defence Annual Report 2014-15, including:

  • Status of ADF operations
  • The 2016 White Paper, Force Structure Review and Defence Industry Policy Statement
  • First Principles Review - Progress of implementation
  • Coles Report - Progress of the implementation of recommendations
  • Capability Development and Major Projects, including:
      -  Future Submarine Programme - SEA 1000 Phase 1A
      -  Land Combat Vehicle System - LAND 400 Phase 2
  • Defence Cooperation Program
  • Estate Management and Infrastructure:
      -  Base support contracting
      -  Disposal planning
  • Personnel matters:
      -  Project Suakin - Reserve and flexible employment policy
      -  Cultural reform and the Pathway to Change
