The Parliamentary Leadership Taskforce met on 30 April 2024.
The Taskforce welcomed DPS Deputy Secretary Ms Jaala Hinchcliffe, who provided an update on the progress of reforms relevant to recommendation 9 (Access and Inclusion) and recommendation 26 (Parliamentary Health and Wellbeing Service) of the Set the Standard report.
The Taskforce discussed draft legislation to establish the Independent Parliamentary Standards Commission, and were advised the PLT Staff Consultation Group recently received a briefing on this matter. The PLT endorsed next steps for the SCG’s ongoing consultation on this matter.
