Public hearing with the Interim Office of the Gene Technology Regulator

The House of Representatives Standing Committee on Primary Industries and Regional Services, chaired by FranBailey, MP, will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, 15 March in Canberra, as part of its inquiry into primary producer access to gene technology.

The committee is examining the future of genetically modified crop varieties and the capacity of Australian farmers to access gene technology.

Representatives from the Interim Office of the Gene Technology Regulator will give evidence at the public hearing, which will take place in Committee Room 1R3, Parliament House, from 5.15 p.m. to 6.30 p.m.
