Review of Auditor-General's Reports tabled between 18 January and 18 April 2005
All Committees in the House of Representatives and joint committees of the Senate and House of Representatives for the 41st Parliament cease to exist upon dissolution of the House of Representatives at 12:00 noon, Wednesday 17th October 2007.
At the prorogation of the Parliament at 12:00 noon Monday 15th October 2007 all committee inquires lapsed. Therefore, this inquiry has now lapsed. More information about the dissolution of the 41st Parliament is available here.
The Joint Committee of Public Accounts and Audit (JCPAA) is required by the Public Accounts and Audit Committee Act 1951 to examine all reports of the Auditor-General which are tabled in the Parliament.
The JCPAA's review procedures are built around a series of public hearings held each quarter. At these hearings evidence is taken from agencies which have been the subject of 'significant' audit findings in the preceding three months.

The Committee is presently reviewing the following audit reports tabled between 18 January 2005 and 18 April 2005:
- Combined rewiew of Audit Report No. 22, Investment of Public Funds and Report No. 42, Commonwealth Debt Management (Follow-up audit);
- Audit Report No. 30, Regulation of Commonwealth Radiation and Nuclear Activities, and
- Combined review of Audit Report No. 31, Centrelink's Customer Feedback Systems-Summary Report (ANAO report No.32-36 inclusive) and Audit Report No 40, The Edge Project.
