The House of Representatives Standing Committee on Environment and Heritage will hold a public hearing for its inquiry into catchment management this Wednesday, 27 October in Liverpool, Sydney.

The committee will also be visiting regional NSW areas to speak with catchment management communities about on-ground issues in natural resource management.

At the public hearing the committee will be hearing from representatives of catchment management groups in the Sydney region, local government and shires in NSW, the newly-established Sydney Catchment Authority, and Professor John Burton, an academic with a long association with catchment management in NSW.

The public hearing will commence at 11:45 a.m. in Liverpool Council Chambers, 1 Hoxton Park Road, Liverpool. More details of the hearing program.
