The House of Representatives Standing Committee on Primary Industries and Regional
Services chaired by FranBailey, MP, will hold inspections and round table discussions
in Renmark on the afternoon of Monday, 13 September as part of its inquiry into
infrastructure and the development of Australia's regional areas.
The committee will be discussing the role of infrastructure, in particular, water
infrastructure, in assisting the economically sustainable development of Australia's
regional areas.
Representatives from the following organisations will meet with the committee:
- United Utilities Australia (UUA) for Riverland Water
- Renmark Shire Council
- Loxton/Waikerie Shire Council
- Renmark Irrigation Trust
- Central Irrigation Trust
