Kangan Batman TAFE

STUDENT CONCESSIONS AND EXEMPTIONS

Kangan Batman TAFE offers programs, which can be broadly categorised as:

For government funded trifling places a tuition fee and service and amenities fee is charged in accordance with a Ministerial Direction pursuant to the Vocational Education and Training Act 1990. The Ministerial Directions provide for a range of concessions and exemptions, eg: social security recipients and cases of financial hardship.

All fees collected from students are retained by the Institute to part fund administration and infrastructure. Concessions and exemptions are funded by the Institute in the form of foregone revenue.

For full-fee paying programs, these are calculated on a full cost recovery basis applying competitive neutrality costing and pricing principles.

The Institute grants concessions and exemptions in certain circumstances, eg: social security recipients for certain short courses. Again such exemptions are funded by the Institute in the form of foregone revenue.
